Making a DIFFERENCE!

Saving Our Orangutans.

Did you know that over the past 7 years, 80% of Sumatran Orangutans have been lost?  Sumatran Orangutans are becoming extinct because people are cutting down the trees they live in to plant palm oil plantations.   They then cook food in that oil,  I can make a difference by not using that oil to cook.  We should start caring for Orangutans because after all we do have 94% of their DNA.

I have chosen this quote not only because it has cool fonts but because this is super inspiring.  This quote tells me that mistakes are a-OK as long you are learning from them.  So remember if you get something wrong don't feel disappointed learn from it.

The Knowledge Seekers logo...

This is a picture of the Knowledge Seekers logo I have created.  It took a lot of time to create but I did it!  The hardest thing was probably arranging the sizes of my images to fit in the circle.  The easiest thing was choosing the images.  All of the pictures that I have chosen all fits under the topic, that is:THE KNOWLEDGE SEEKERS ARE THE BEST!!!

The past few, first weeks at school we did some art.  We all went in our home groups.  My home group is the Knowledge Seekers and for our art we had to come up with 10-15 symbols that represent us.  When we finished coming up with our symbols we drew them in squares with skewers that we had coloured in pastels.  Then we painted!!!  It was a bit of a disaster painting though be my paintbrush was a bit to thick, but when it was finished it looked AWESOME!!!  I found the colouring the hardest because at the end of it they felt chafed.

The first days back...

The year 2019 at NPS...

Attention all students at NPS there is some important information I must tell you, Whetu is.....AMAZING!

This year Whetu is amazing, we have changed so many things.  I am proud to say that we are bees buzz, buzz!  Instead of avatars to move across we have our own bee with our face on it.  They look so cute by the way.  In Whetu we have the same teachers which is a relieve because they are awesome.  This year 2019, is Whetu's big year!
