This week, I was chosen to go and represent Ngatea Primary in the Hauraki Plains Speech Competition with Georgia! I did my speech about Animal History! We presented our speeches at the college hall! I was really nervous and had so many butterfly's! We got to sit on a seat with our name on it, which I thought was really cool because it felt like I was a VIP! There were 9 people sharing speeches in the age category year 5/6. I was going up 8th! When I was up there I was focusing on speaking loud and being very clear! I got up there and I dropped a card in the middle of my speech, but even though I dropped a card I kept on going!
Later it was time time to hear the results!
"First place with her speech about Animal History.. Paige Tevita-Williams!"
I came first! I was not only proud of myself but I was proud of representing my school!
It was an awesome experience saying my speech and I will definitely try to be in that place next year!
