For the past 2 weeks I have been busy creating my FABULOUS FINISH for the book Holes! I decided to make a cake about Charles Walker, also known as Trout because of his smelly feet! Sorry I didn't make a real tasty cake. I decided to make a cake because I thought that it was just a really unique way to present something! I made a cake with slices that you pull out to see what other people think about Charles Walker.
The first thing I had to do was make the base of the cake. It took me about 2 days to make 6 slices! I was really proud of this because I thought I would have taken 1 whole week! Once I had created my 6 slices I was ready to paint! I wanted my cake to stand out and be really vibrant, so I decided to paint my cake a bright yellow and pink! The painting took a bit longer then I expected to, but in the end I had a cake that satisfied me! When the paint had dried the next step was to write the information on pieces of paper!
When I completed that it was time to decorate! I made icing on the side and little rainbow sprinkles! For the icing I just got little bits of paper, coloured them in, scrunched them up then hot glued them to my cake! For the sprinkles I just got rainbow coloured tape and chopped of little bits to stick on my cake! Decorating was by far my favourite stage of creating my cake.
When I finished I was really proud of how it turned out! I put a lot of effort into my cake and I think that effort had pulled off! I definitely think that my Fabulous Finish wasn't only an overflowing jar of honey, but better then all my other Fabulous Finishes!
